Teams are now being accepted for the 6th Annual Knock Cancer Out of the Park / Shanna Larsen Memorial MIXED and MENS slo-pitch tournament being held July 8-10.

Entry fee is still only $300 per team, with 100% of the proceeds going to the TEAM SHAN registered charity.

The Skater's Edge OPEN HOME RUN DERBY will be held on the Saturday NIGHT of the weekend, under the lights, with 4 composite bats being the top prizes available.

At Tuesday, June 15th's meeting of City Council, the City of Temiskaming Shores councillors unanimously agrred to officially proclaimed our weekend of July 9-11, 2010, as the "Shanna Larsen / TEAM SHAN Memorial Weekend". This was initiated and completed as an additional means of drawing attention to both the cause of our fund-raising activities as well as to the tournament itself!

I will be on CJTT (www.cjttfm.ca for those outside of the broadcast radius of the station) to promote and describe out tournament during their "Inside Sports" program with hosts Jack Morin and Mike McArthur at 9:30am, Friday, June 18. Tune in if you can!
